WINDOWS: Resuming a ride crash / Event or group ride crash
If a I select a ride that I’ve partially completed and click to “Resume Ride”, the app crashes within seconds. The specific ride is “Les Gorges de l'Ardeche”.
The ride is downloaded to disk and the trainer is connected. If I begin the ride from the beginning, it doesn’t crash. It crashed 3 times in the last hour, so you should be able to debug this using the crash reports that were presumably uploaded.

I tried uninstalling fulgaz and re-installing but same problem persists. This is on ALL challenge rides, I can’t do the coastal explorer either.

Do you have any update for this?
I’ve updated to the latest v5.3.11.0 and FulGaz still crashes on start of ANY challenge ride. This means I am unable to complete either the weekly challenge of the Coastal ride challenge which I would like to do.
I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, removed .NET runtime, installed Rouvy but nothing works.
It may be nothing but when the ride starts it’s showing the HUD but my settings are for the Bike Computer.
What can I do to help you debug this?

Further testing. I can replicate this, but not on all live race / group ride events. The video below shows one that is a group ride using a section of an IRONMAN course.

Thanks for the update Klem, to clarify for me 5.3.8.0 worked fine riding a live event (challenge). It was the introduction of 5.3.10 that broke it where 99% of the time I cannot start a ride, see previous video and bug report details.

A small update: I can consistently replicate this now by using an event or group ride, starting it then saving for later. When I come back to re-ride it, FulGaz will crash. Video attached.

It’s on the developer’s list of bugs to investigate, so if they pinpoint the cause and code a fix, it will be included in one of the BETA releases for testing (it may not be in the first build version).

I did replicate once or twice, but not 100% of the time.
Mostly the group rides did run as expected. Crash occurred when I did not have a trainer connected. Ride loads correctly, tries to start, but then crashes to desktop. Usually a restart got it rolling correctly.
Does this occur for you if you have your smart trainer connected and are pedalling?
Potentially it could be a server-connection issue with your app not connecting to the server to pull down the group ride info upon start. Try giving both your laptop and home WiFi router a reboot, the test another group ride.

For me it happens after I have my trainer connected and am pedaling. Restarted FulGaz several times (reconnecting each time), no joy.

I have had the same experience over the past week or so. Have downloaded all Coastal Escape routes (1080p) to an external SSD. Start ride after taking quite a while to connect my Tacx Neo 2T & HRM. Ride opens & lasts for about 1 or 2 seconds before the app (windows 11) crashes totally.

Just wanted to add that the ride I’ve been having trouble with is “Three Castle Head”, which is a part of some kind of challenge now. I’m not doing the challenge but just wanted to do the ride. Since it crashed for the first time, every time I try again, I get to the resume or start over screen and it crashes no matter what I select, or sometimes, even before I make a selection. Thanks. I just did three non-challenge rides today, and all were fine, so it seems to be a specific problem.

Still seeing the same problem - resuming a ride that I’ve partially completed - “Hills of Zurich” in today’s case, causes a crash within seconds. Another 3 crash logs should have been sent to your crash log server within the last few minutes.
