Slope limit not working

My wife has to be careful due to knee issues and has the slope limit set at 9%. On two rides the slope went up to 13% and she had to abandon the ride because her knees can’t take the pressure. She mirrors her iPad and has rebooted the device and logged in & out of FulGaz, but the slope limit still doesn’t work.

Slope Limit fixes the maximum tilt sent to to your trainer. It does not change the resistance sent to your trainer. So for example, a slope limit of 9% will stop your trainer tilting beyond 9%, but if you encounter a gradient of 20%, it will feel like 20% and not 9%.

Slope Scaling changes the resistance. You can use this, for example, to tune your indoor set-up (time/effort to climb a hill) to match your real-world outdoor efforts.

It would be super helpful if you could confirm here whether you think Slope Limit or Slope Scaling is not working properly.
