Capping the grade

I seem to recall having the ability to cap the grade of a route. For example if the grade on a climb was 20%, we could cap it at 10%.

You can set a slope limit for your trainer, ie the actual tilt limit of the trainer, but this does not change the resistance you will feel through the pedals. A really steep hill will still feel really hard, the same irrespective of your slope limit.

If you want to do the latter, ie make a steep climb easier to pedal up, change Slope Scaling to < 100 which is equivalent to changing the ratios on your bike’s rear cassette. You’ll need to experiment to find what works for you.

It is not possible to cap gradients, eg stop winding up the resistance once the slope reaches 10%

I don’t know if you can do it only for specific routes, but you can set a Slope Limit for all routes by going to:

    Settings

    Trainer Settings

    Advanced Trainer Settings
